Tony Christie has landed a £50,000 contract to become the face of Stilton cheese. Christie will appear in a TV ad for the cheese after Stilton Cheese Makers Association saw his video starring Peter Kay.

Tony Christie Finds Way to Amarillo

Tony Christie has finally found the way to Amarillo, and he has the hat and cowboy boots to prove it.
The singer was in town on bank holiday monday as part of a brief publicity stop. Time was tight, but Christie managed to fit in a shopping trip for some authentic Western wear.
"I saw him earlier, and he was all decked out," said Jerry Holt, vice president of the convention and visitors council. "He looks great. He looks like he was born to wear boots and a cowboy hat."
Christie himself seemed impressed with Amarillo, although the one-day trip did not allow him much time for the full experience.
"What really knocked me out was the friendliness of the people," Christie said during a brief reception at the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. (Amarillo.com)
